The Other Inside

The Other Inside

I came in peace and love,
All you gave was hell and war.
As I walked this land it flourished.
As you hide in the shadows,
And feed upon the fears
Of our children.

As this child grows into a man.
His soul is torn as if he were old.
His body racked with the pain of Death

Death like that of a corpse.

There is no rest
For his tortured soul

Because his mind is a battlefield

Day after Day his mind

Fights an overwhelming darkness

On the other inside.

On the other inside,

reigns the Light of peace and joy.
This boy’s soul breaks for the pain of every

living thing.

And always questioning why

Night after night, he would always cry
On his knees by his bedside.

“Please God, forgive me of my evil ways”.
Dream after dream became nightmares.
So many haunting ghouls returning
So many nightmares reoccurring

With every passing day
This boy became a man.
In every passing breath
The Darkness seemed to loom
From molestation to demonization
This young one has seen it all.
Still through his eyes
he could see the Light

Eventually, rejected and a prodigal

He went on his way
Like a Light in a cave.
Praying it stays lit

Broken, torn, lost and stumbling

This boy, now a man

Is still falling on his knees.

If not beware
Without the Light

My Darkness will consume your life
In just karma for your crimes
If the darkness were to consume me

I’d make a special hell
For all those that harmed me

And others like me

If I were the Darkness

I would tear you from limb to limb
As those around us heard your screams

Without the Light

I would stomp you with my fist.

And rip every inch of flesh from your bones
I would shoot the flames of HELL itself
Igniting all your bloody body parts.

On the other inside,

reigns the Light of peace and joy.
This boy’s soul breaks for the pain of every

living thing.

And always questioning why
